The answer to the Question about scholarship, from a student perspective.

Scholarship Scholarship Scholarship!!!!!!!!
I know almost every one wants to know if the can have a scholarship from MiraCosta college or any other college. Before they even attend it. Well I also went through that. First of all I can only speak for MiraCosta because that is the only college I have attended here is the US and I am not willing to change that for nothing.
I know a lot of international students love asking about scholarships, I am a student, scholarship was also one of my first question. I will answer you very sincerely and from my experience. You need to attend at least one semester at MiraCosta college before you can be eligible for any form of scholarship offered by the school. That dose snot mean that after you first semester you will automatically have a scholarship, No No No!!!!

  1. You are not eligible for a MiraCosta scholarship if you are not a student. So my best advice to you is to first of all apply and get admission then.........
  2. You need to take a least one semester of full time classes and have good result before you start talking about.........scholarships
  3. If you are a MiraCosta student  and you have good grades, then you can apply for a scholarship. Wait wait wait don't be too excite sorry but I need to tell you the truth, applying for a scholarship does not mean that you are automatically going to receive it.
  4. But being a student at Miracosta with good grades makes you eligiable for some types of scholarships.
Rihanna performing at the Coachella Festival in California in April 2016.
Rihanna recently announced the launched of a scholarship program on Instagram. that is aimed helping eligible  international students. with an amount between US $5000-$50000

In the US it is call free money, but first like most scholarships you need to be a student. So if you are not yet a student go to miracosta.edu and apply. If you are already a student don't miss out on this amazing opportunity.

How To Be a Successful student Off campus

How To Be  Successful Student Off campus
I did a blog on how to be a successful student on Campus, but I really want to make it clears that the thing you do off campus can greatly influence you performance or  your grades at school. what are some of those thing????
  Go To Bed On time.

You are surly thinking to yourself, that is not true. Maybe because you are use to texting all night and going to bed late. But if you did't know going to bed late makes you worn out and tired the next day and most of the time angry. Which can lead to bad grades.

Go to the beach or somewhere nice, go play some games.

MiraCosta College is very close to the beach. You can literally see the beach form school. School is very important but taking a minute out and relax is very important. I helps relax your nerves, it gives you the opportunity to meet new and interesting people. By the way the people in the picture is the MiraCosta Beach Volley ball team and also won the championship against other school that year. so if you want you can be part of the school team. Basket ball, volley ball tennis swimming etc.
Don't go party the eve of an exam, this are little things that people thing don't matter but the affect you directly. You need to be able to do the right thing at the right time. Know when to relax and don't relax to much. Never forget you are a student and your primary focus is to pass those classes and get out of school.s

Meet my MiraCosta friends

Hi Everyone, in one of my blogs I talked about the diversity in MiraCosta. This is a picture to show you what I am talking about.

On the top left of the picture is my very good friend Khy. She is from Jamaica, she speaks English and patios. Khy's major is child development she will love to become and elementary school teacher.  Outside of school she loves watching TV shows, going to the movie and going to the beach.

The gentle man beside her is call Nick, he is an American and a Pan African. Nick is also an art student, he loves drawing and believe me he is really good at it. He will be transferring to a four year university next semester. Nick is also an English tutor for MiraCosta College. During his free time, he loves painting drawing and yoga is one of his numerous passions.

The person holding the camera is me, your favorite blogger. My name is Delia, I am an accounting student. I am form Cameroon, a country located in the central west of Africa. I speak both French and English. I love volleyball, I also love going to the movie and the beach is my favorite place.

The guy on my right is called Jamie, he is taking English 201H (the H stands for honor). He is a design major and he loves to DJ ( you know like, mixing music during parties). Jamie plays chase during his free time, designs one or two stuffs and hangout with friends.

This is just part of my friends, you know I can  not introduce all my friends to you on this page but one thing I want you to know is that here at MiraCosta there is a huge diversity in the student body there is someone that looks like you and that loves doing the things you love doing. No matter where you are from, there is someone here at MiraCosta that acts like you.

My priority as an international student is to have good grades and learn as much as I can while I am here in the US. However "learning without playing makes Jack a dull boy". So during weekend or semester break I hangout with my friends, we go to the movie, to the beach and so on. You can actually see the beach when you are on the Miracosta Oceanside Campus. Fun and school is the best combination ever!!!!!!!

How To Be A Successful Student while On Campus

How to Be a Successful Student When on Campus at MiraCosta College

MiraCosta College has and  amazing staff and professor. I have said this in a lot of my posting, the reason is because it is true. MiraCosta go extra miles to help their students succeed. So  what do students do to be success ?!?

Be In Class and On Time:  As a student it is very important for you to be in class and on time. If you come to class late there is a high chance for you not to understand what the teacher will be saying through out that class. Not attending class is even worst. When you don't attend a class it is difficult for you to understand what subject and that can lead to a bad grade. You don't want that to happen. But most teachers understand that you can be sick or something. If you miss a class for what ever reason this is you next step.....

Go For An Office hour  If you  miss a class or need extra help on an assignment go to your teacher's
"Office hour" Every Miracosta student get the opportunity to meet one on one with your professor to ask him/her any question you might have about the class or if you did not understand something. You don't have to pay for it and this helps all the shy student who can not ask their question in class to ask it during the office hour. This also helps your teacher to know your difficulties and work with you to solve them. I understand that some students can be scared of their teachers, which you don't have to be but if that is the case for you. I got a solution for you

Go for tutoring: In most counties and even in some schools here in the US, students pay in order to have a tutor help them. (A tutor is someone that helps to explain things that you did not understand in class and can also help with your assignment but they will not do it entirely for you this). MiraCosta College has tutors available for all subjects. Tutors are usually students just like you. The college has both online and in-person tutors. They help you with your questions and assignments. They help you with you assignment or questions. Yes I know I said it two time, because I want to make it clear that they will not do your assignment for you but they will help you with it. On line tutoring is available even at night.
If you go to class on time, do all assignments, go for office hours and go for tutoring you are bound to have an " A" in that class.
